Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

CMS College’s Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) actively promotes innovation, intellectual property rights (IPR), startups, and entrepreneurship. The mission of Innovation Council aims to encourage, inspire, and nurture young students by supporting them in developing new ideas and transforming these ideas into prototypes during their formative years. Comprising both faculty and students, the IIC organizes quarterly meetings to plan and review activities, ensuring continuous engagement and development.

OBJECTIVES

  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Nurture entrepreneurial mindset and skills through training, mentorship, and resources.
  • Facilitate start-up ideas, incubation, and acceleration, connecting them with industry and funding opportunities.
  • Strengthen ties with industry, research organizations, and government entities for mutual benefit.
  • Promote collaboration across departments, disciplines, and institutions to address complex challenges.
  • Host workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Offer necessary resources, funding, and mentorship to support innovative projects and start-ups.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the IIC's performance, impact, and effectiveness.

Major Focus of IIC

  • Facilitate partnerships between startups and established companies for mentorship and resources.
  • Organize networking events to connect idea creators with potential collaborators, investors, and industry experts.
  • Promote teamwork in problem-solving tasks to enhance communication, critical thinking, and collaborative skills.

Key Activities

Quarterly Meetings: Planning and reviewing innovation-related initiatives and competitions.

Student Participation: Opportunities to engage in initiatives and competitions organized by MHRD.

Networking: Interaction with renowned businessmen and academicians.

Idea Nurturing: Support for experimenting with the latest technologies and developing prototypes.

Innovative Environment: Fostering a healthy environment from ideation to startup creation.
